Anyone
from the general public can attend film screenings, photo exhibitions
and other events, or take classes at IFP MSP. However, to enjoy the
full privileges of access to a wealth of media equipment, facilities
and resources you need to become a member. As a member you have a
voice in the operation of the facility. Furthermore, if you join at
the Individual or Individual/Darkroom Level, you receive low-cost
rental access to media equipment and facilities which are not duplicated
elswhere in the Twin Cities. To register,

Volunteering
at IFP MSP
Last year's
operation was made possible by over 5,000 hours of volunteer time. Volunteers
are important. Their assistance in the equipment room and darkroom are
invaluable to IFP's regular staff. Volunteers are rewarded by accumulating
hours which translate into equipment and facility discounts:

20-50 hours
= 30% discount
-
51-100 hours
= 40% discount
-
100+ hours
= 50% discount
Volunteer
discounts go into effect after your first 20 hours. In order to remain
active in the program you must maintain a minimum of 20 hours every three
months. All volunteers must commit to a three month minimum tenure.
Volunteers
also receive a 40% tuition discount on classes and workshops!
Volunteeering
at IFP MSP also enables the beginning media artist to establish networking
connections and is a great way for media pros to share their experience.
